Born in Nevada, Catya Elise is a Latina artist now based in Vancouver, WA. She studied fine art at the Las Vegas Academy of Art and the University of Nevada, Reno. Her background includes illustration, printmaking, and painting.

Inspiration for her paintings come from comics, Pop Art, Surrealism, and traditional Mexican folk art. Her work playfully embraces the juxtaposition of graphic art and realism, while blurring the lines between traditional and digital painting. Her work is defined by clean lines, bold color, and mischievous subject matter.
